Cleaning Strategy

As you all know, we transfer to a bigger house and with garden (if your new to my blog just read my previouse post here ) As a mother, one of our dilemma will be how to manage to clean the whole house. So, as usual, we have to check the internet. So, I run over all the ideas, and opinions, especially to the stay-home mom and also for the busy mothers out there. I compiled it what is better to do clean, easy and time wisely.I don’t want to clean the house entirely in just one day. Yup, I hate cleaning. We have to prioritize first the one we always use, like sweeping and mopping the floor (esp. the kitchen) because of water drops whenever they get something and they wash their hands in the sink. De-clutter, pick-up all those unwanted stuff in the living room, dining, kitchen etc. That’s my first thing to do every morning. (De-clutter, Sweep, and Mop) Check all the sites below for your information.

This schedule above I find it useful (click the link here for more information) some items not related to our house but, still I find it useful.

More information click here. At least, in this ideas above, your can figure out which comes first and last. So, this time it will be scheduling. I incorporated my bullet journal in cleaning the house. Here’s the some ideas below for house chores schedule.

They usually use by area. (More details : click here)

So, mine just simple weekly house chores in my bujo (Jan-June 2018) I usually put on my ultimate tracker from Housechores, Social Media and Personal.

Tracking also when was the last time I change… then, my weekly/daily cleaning routine.

They all same style for except the May month. I don’t like it so, I’m back with this style. But for my July is different. (sort of).

Bullet Journal really helps me to do everything in place. Because you will just focus the day that you’re written on your daily routine. As a woman sometimes we sort of forgetting something and also how to compress your time from cleaning, kids, social media and also my gaming time (kids at heart) as you sit in front of the tv. You find yourself productive even though you didn’t notice it. Right? Anyway, I will do separate post again regarding my bullet journal supplies (budget friendly).

This is my everyday cleaning routine. Some heavy stuff like doing floor wax my hubby takes the charge he will do it every month, cleaning the car and storage outside.

Before I end. Hopefully, this will help you to do your everyday cleaning routine and here’s some tips from Nifty on Buzzfeed .

All in for house cleaning, social media, health and personal.

House Transformation

Last January as I posted on my previous blog that we moved from Osaka to Yokohama because of my husband job/work which is bigger company and compensation. Of course, my husband grabs the better opportunity and good for the family as well. Okay, Let’s go for our new house tour. But, first the house background. We bought the house not brand new. The owner bought it in the auction but not actually lives here and then he decided to sell it because it’s getting old. So, he’s not the original owner as well. Below are the pictures and after we cleaned, renovate esp the garden and arrange our things inside.

(Above) front of the house:  Before: As you can see lots of plants sprouting on the fence and side of the house After Pictures, New fence, and removed the plants and trees.

But, before putting the fence. We have to paint the house so, that it will look nice from the outside.

Below, the floor map of the House. It has 6 rooms (1 Japanese room – 1st flr. 1 master bedroom, 3 rooms with loft and 1 guest room, 2 shower room, 2 toilets & 1 bathroom) and walking closet)

It was really hard to find a new place especially if your budget is not that big and also the locations as well. We want more a residential place, quiet and good neighborhood as well. But, we have to find schools that are a bit near to the house as well for the kids convenient.

Below pictures are before. (1st floor)

Below the after of the house (cleaned, renovate and arrange)

We still lacking some stuff to be organized but pretty much looks like that.

Below, the before pictures of the 2nd floor of the house.

Below the After pictures

What good about this house was the garden. I love it!. Having a house in Japan rarely to have a huge house especially in a big city.

We had our housewarming (May 26) with our church friends at the Yokohama Internation Bible Church.

Below are the other pictures that on progress.

Btw, I got also my own room for my Crafts, Sewing, Arts, Knitting & Crochet.  Now, we can call it a Home.

My DIY Welcome wreath and some decoration as well. Loving it!

And, sorry I was so busy these past days it’s been a long delay to post.

Thank you for visiting my blog. Have a great day!

Yokohama (short trip)

We had a short trip in Yokohama (Kanagawa), just because my husband will have a final interview one of the biggest company. He had already turned it down, 2mos ago but still they do really like him and far for that his asking price has been exceeded. It’s so troublesome for us to transfer from different places here in Japan because of Kids, Schools and also their friends and we get to know our neighborhood as well.

Yokohama (横浜市Yokohama-shiJapanese: [jokoꜜhama]) is the largest city in Japan by population and most populous municipality of Japan. It is the capital city of Kanagawa Prefecture. It lies on Tokyo Bay, south of Tokyo, in the Kantō region of the main island of Honshu. It is a major commercial hub of the Greater Tokyo Area.

Yokohama’s population of 3.7 million makes it Japan’s largest city after the Special Wards of Tokyo. Yokohama developed rapidly as Japan’s prominent port city following the end of Japan’s relative isolation in the mid-19th century, and is today one of its major ports along with KobeOsakaNagoyaHakata, Tokyo, and Chiba.

We had productive trip, First we have to see the surrounding places and house trip. Yeah, a bit expensive to live in a big City like Yokohama compare to the Osaka sort of laid back life. The fast paced life in the City, kids will be develop how to be punctual and be aware of the surroundings even though the whole Japan is a Safe country. Anyway, after our house tripping, we have time to look around the area.

All I can say, busy street and so many people. We are going to the biggest China Town in Japan. It was really big and the food so, tasty.

Yokohama Chinatown (Japanese: 横浜中華街, yokohama chūkagaiSimplified Chinese: 横滨中华街; Traditional Chinese: 横濱中華街; Pinyin: Héngbīn Zhōnghuá Jiē; Cantonese JyutpingWaang4 ban1 zung1 waa4 gaai1) is located in YokohamaJapan, which is located just south of Tokyo. Its history is about 150 years long. Today only a few Chinesepeople still live in Chinatown, but it has a population of about 3,000 to 4,000. Most of the residents are from Guangzhou (Canton) but many come from other regions.

Yokohama Chinatown is the largest Chinatown not only in Japan but also in Asia (larger than Chinatowns in both Kobe and Nagasaki) and it is one of the largest in the world[citation needed]. There are roughly 250 Chinese-owned/themed shops and restaurants scattered throughout the district, with the highest concentration centered on a 300 square metre area.

And of course, trip without eating is no sense at all. We went to the Chinese food eat all you can. In short we pig out!

On the 2nd Day, In the morning and late afternoon we have house, tripping means we are looking a place to live. Afterwards, fun day for the kids we went to the “Cosmo World”.(Cosmo Clock 21)

Cosmo Clock 21 is a giant Ferris wheel at the Cosmo World amusement park in the Minato Mirai 21district of YokohamaJapan. When it first opened, it was the world’s tallest Ferris wheel, until the completion of the 108-metre (354 ft) Igosu 108 in Shiga, Japan, in 1992.

History and specifications

Built for the YES ’89 Yokohama Exposition at Minato Mirai 21 in 1989, Cosmo Clock 21 was originally constructed with a height of 107.5 metres (353 ft).

In 1997 the structure was dismantled, then in 1999 relocated onto a taller base which increased its overall height to 112.5 metres (369 ft).[3][4]

Cosmo Clock 21 has 60 passenger cars,[5] each capable of carrying up to eight people. One rotation of the 100-metre (330 ft) diameter wheel takes 15 minutes.

And, we go to the Nissin Noodles Museum, and we made our own noodles. You can check the site click here.

What I like to travelling in Japan this one…

LOCKER…. LOCKER …. LOCKER!!! Everywhere in the train station mostly and it was SAFE. I didn’t hear a news that they lost their valuable inside the locker. Because we have to check out 11am and our bullet train (Shin-Yokohama to Shin-Osaka) will be late afternoon we have some time to look around. So, we decided to place our luggage inside those lockers.

Even in the train have this sign board.

Snow in Osaka, Japan

This is the first time in Osaka, that the snow accumulated to more than 2 centimeters. When it snow here in Osaka, just one time and then after a while will be melted.

We joined the house build trip of Sekisui House Builder in Kyoto. Pretty much the same as the other builders. But, we will see if the sales agents are very patience to wait for us to decide.

We checked also the ABC Housing near the Lalaport Expo City Mall. (the big mall). Kids enjoyed free ride in a mini train and feeding the birds.

Before we go home, we first stop in a Ramen Restaurant. Great for Chilly Weather!

Finally, playing & enjoying the snow fall.

I also upload a quick video in my youtube channel.

We just started to move with my husband in Japan just few months ago (May 2013). I think i made the right choice/decision. Even though i give up my career, my home country and risk our lives here in Japan. I really made the right choice. Now, i’m 9 weeks pregnant what a blessings i have now. I’m very happy. Hoping my pregnancy will be doing great, bec. my first pregnancy it was traumatic i lost it, then second one, i got complication in my blood sugar. well, that’s my pregnancy history. Anyway, i prayed that everything will be in good time and place.

btw, it was my birthday last July 31, this is the first time we had a great time together with my husband and son. Not that really fancy thing, we just had dinner together in the Buffet Restaurant and bought new appliances. He bought oven and mine is sewing machine. I just finished my first attempt project for blouse and shorts. I’ll post pictures some other time.

Its soooo very very hot here in Japan. Humid and Dry combination hotttnesss. I just had headache for almost 3days i won’t forget the summer in Japan. I told to my husband we (my son) better go back in the Philippines when my son is in summer break. Because i can’t take it the next summer. Extreme hot. It will be good if your in the beach because your mind and body will adjust that it will be hot. But, we are just inside the house we are sweating like hell. I don’t want to move my body as i will sweat a lot, especially if your pregnant your get tired easily and sweat easily. I hope, the autumn will come early as September. 🙂
